Picture Clock “Ferdinand’s Bridge in Vienna”

A quality replica of a picture clock, where the model was an identical view of Vienna by painter C. L. Hofmeister (active 1780 – 1840) from the early 19th century. It is the most famous Vienna motif used on picture clocks, variants of these clocks are found in a number of Austrian museums (e.g., the Vienna Clock Museum, MAK Vienna, Geymüller’s Chateau)

Batterson London 31 in the upper dial, richly decorated by engraving, Bohemian case, around 1750, height 252 cm, mechanism works, precision not guaranteed, restored case and slightly supplemented around the ledges
A luxurious example of a typically Bohemian Baroque Longcase clock. The clock has a strictly prismatic case with chestnut veneer and characteristic band inlays. This quality clock mechanism was imported from London.
